Membership Site Software

A complete php script to install on your server, that manages subscription payments and memberships for limited access sites. Manages PayPal subscriptions, trial periods, and automatic suspension of unpaid accounts.

You have to have a website that needs it, and then you can integrate the manager into the existing site using a simple link, and by putting the URL to the membership area into the code.

This software requires that you edit HTML templates, and that you be able to edit php code. Don't worry though, we have provided complete instructions to do so.

We bought this package, installed and used it, and rewrote the instructions, and added more instructions to make it easier to use. We also edited certain files to make it simpler for you to integrate the manager into your existing site, and corrected some of the errors and annoyances. If it was not actually usable, we'd not be selling it here.

The software requires a server that supports PHP 4.0 or better, with a MySQL database available. The hosting listed at the bottom of this page will support this quite well.

Setting up this package is more time consuming than setting up the Article Site Directory. This is because it requires more configuration in order to integrate an existing site with a payment processor. It just takes a bit of time though, and following the instructions one at a time. And it is still simpler than many options for this kind of function!

It is a single use software package. That means the functions may not be as flexible as other software packages that manage a membership site, but it does the one thing in the most commonly needed way. It is a good solution for people who need an affordable option for a membership site startup. We are using it for membership management on this site, so you can get an idea of how it works if you have a membership.

The advantage for you of a single use software package is that you don't have to fuss with configuring it to do anything more than what it does. You don't have to select a specific module and make it integrate with other modules. You just set it up and it does what it is intended to do.

It offers the ability to collect email addresses for an autoresponder. Now, in general, I don't like email lists. I feel they are overused and too associated with hype. Besides, I don't like having to produce a newsletter on a schedule, and find it hard to do long term. BUT, this feature is useful for more than just that. It allows you the option of notifying members about changes, specials, or new items in your membership area. And THAT is pretty much an essential feature.

You can also edit memberships by hand, giving you complete control over the process. This means that if you want to use this for a membership site that must allow memberships to be paid for by check, you can. There is a way to add a member, and then enable their account even though they have not paid through PayPal.

Membership sites can be hard to sell for some topics, but if you have something of real value, that you can keep producing over the long term, then a membership site can bring in returns over and over. Certain organizations that require membership dues can also use this to automate periodic billing through PayPal, and to allow access to member information through a login.

You get the entire package, along with Resale Rights. You can even customize the package if you like, and target it to a specific niche. This product used to sell for hundreds, but the value has declined as the market has become more saturated with people offering it. This particular version still has value that other versions do not though, because we have enhanced it with ease of use instructions and other little improvements.
